Children Brain Injury1 Brain Injury
Can a child suffer a traumatic brain injury?
Yes. Traumatic brain injury is not age or gender sensitive. There are some aspects of brain injury that are unique to young children. The skulls of young children are more vulnerable and injury to the frontal lobe, which develops later, may not manifest until years later. As such, the extent of brain damage or loss is more difficult to measure in children than in adults who have prior performance records (e.g., transcripts, jobs, etc.).

- My wife had Paxil prescribed for her but decided to quit taking it without talking to her doctor. She suffered terrible withdrawal symptoms, including intense dizziness and vertigo which caused her to fall down a flight of stairs and seriously injure herself. How can we prove that the drug caused her dizzy spells? Will our damages be reduced because she decided on her own to stop taking the drug?
